Job Title: Qualitative Research Associate
Position Type: Part time 50% effort (18.75 hours per week) 12-month position.
Salary: between $23 - $25 per hour (commensurate with experience)

General Position Description:
The NDRI-USA in Leawood, KS is currently seeking a Qualitative Research Associate (Part Time) with interest in qualitative research to join our team of researchers focused on the health outcomes, epidemiology, and prevention science, with a specific focus on military and emergency responders. The research associate will work under the guidance of PI, senior research personnel, and or project manager. This is a grant-funded position, and employment is contingent upon continued funding.
Responsibilities will include:
Coding and assisting with analysis of interview and textual data. Experience preferred but training will be provided.
Working with confidential data and maintaining confidentiality, privacy, and integrity in professional interactions;
Data entry and database management. Experience preferred but training will be provided;
Assisting with research and manuscript preparation for publication and dissemination of results, including conducting literature searches, article summaries, and basic coding and analysis;
Contributing to the development of study-related documents and/or materials; and
Performing other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or current enrollment in Social Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Health Sciences or related field.
Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods and data analytic skills, or desired to develop these skills;
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
Knowledge of web-based survey (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey), statistical/analytical packages (e.g., NVivo, SPSS) a plus;
Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision;
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills is desired.
